Kahikatea I have made many kahikatea soundboards with much success. The wood is light and tight grained, white to yellowish in colour, with surprising rigidity, producing a superb tone. Kahikatea is a lowland forest tree and New Zealand's tallest tree.	Back - striped Looking good in Totara and Tawa stripes, laminated with Tawhai inside.
